The Pasadena Convention Center came alive with anime fans of all ages at Anime Pasadena from December 11-12. Nearly 15,000 anime and cosplay fans attended the event. From Pokemon to Genshin and more, thousands of characters flooded the convention center plaza and throughout Pasadena.

“It was a joy to see so many anime and cosplay fans at Anime Pasadena this past weekend at the Pasadena Convention Center,” said Michael Ross, CEO, Pasadena Center Operating Company, “The colorful costumes and intricate designs were extremely entertaining. You could tell these fans were extremely dedicated and passionate about what they do. Like them, we too are committed to providing the best experience to our visitors while in a safe environment! After so much time a part, the meetings and events industry is doing what it does best in bringing people together and exceeding expectations.”

The two-day Anime Pasadena convention included panels from notable anime voice actors, two entertainment stages with live bands, fashion shows, karaoke, and a marketplace for anime and collectible items.

“We were excited to be back in Pasadena and thrilled with the response from the community,” said Elvin Zuleta, media manager of Nerdbot. “We were totally blown away by the numbers. We expected 8,000 to 10,000 attendees for the whole weekend. And it was exciting to see over 9,000 attendees on Saturday and another 5,000 on Sunday. The Pasadena Convention Center staff were great partners in bringing this fun and safe event into fruition.”

The lineup doesn’t stop there. The Pasadena Convention Center will continue to host dozens of events in the next quarter, with most notable public events including Seasons Screamings horror convention this weekend (December 17-19), Yoga Expo LA (January 22), Pasadena Comic Con (January 23), Rare Books LA (February 4-6).
