Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County will host its Legacy Summit on April 12 in Pasadena, offering residents free workshops focused on building generational wealth, estate planning and disaster recovery assistance.
The event, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at First AME Church, will provide special resources for residents affected by the Eaton and Palisades wildfires.
“BUILD, KEEP and GROW Generational Wealth” is the focus of the summit, which includes sessions on family estate planning, rebuilding options for homeowners, and guidance for first-time homebuyers.
Participants can meet with legacy attorneys and housing financial counselors to receive personalized advice. The summit will also feature “Legacy Talks” with local experts discussing preservation of cultural neighborhoods and strategies to prevent displacement.
“If you dream of owning a home this workshop is for you,” organizers said on social media, highlighting the homebuyer and real estate workshop planned for the event.
Disaster resource assistance will be available specifically for those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.
The event is sponsored by several organizations including Community Women, Greater LA Realtors, Wells Fargo, and the Eaton Fire Center.
