Two armed suspects robbed a Pasadena liquor store late Tuesday night, making off with hundreds of dollars in cash, according to police.

The incident occurred at 10:57 p.m.  in the 2000 block of East Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau said.

According to Campeau, two suspects, both described as men in their 30s, entered the store. One suspect, wearing a black ski mask, black hoodie, and white pants, approached the clerk behind the register while brandishing a black handgun.

The armed suspect pointed the weapon at the 40-year-old clerk from Tujunga and demanded money. Fearing for his life, the clerk opened the register and placed approximately $200 to $300 into a brown bag, which he then handed to the suspect, said Campeau.

The second suspect, also wearing a black ski mask and black hoodie but with black pants, stood watch at the door during the robbery, Campeau said.

Both suspects were last seen fleeing south on foot from the location, Campeau said. The victim was not injured during the incident.

Police are reportedly reviewing surveillance footage as part of their ongoing investigation.
