Pasadena High School Bulldogs Move Up in CIF Basketball Playoffs

Pasadena High School’s 72-55 win over South Torrance on Wednesday evening moves the Bulldogs under Coach Tom Tucker on to the 2nd round CIF State Division III Playoffs. Seeded #2, Pasadena High School will host Bell High School on Saturday, March 10th.

Ticket prices for Saturday’s game are $5.00 for students with ID; general admission $9.00.

In other sports, Pasadena High School’s Boys Soccer Team (#3 Pacific League) under Coach Cherif Zein beat the Los Altos Eagles (#4 Hacienda League) 2 – 1 in the Wild Card game but lost to Artesia High School 3 – 2 in the first round playoff game.

Last Saturday, the Girls Water Polo Bulldogs and coach Jennie Jacobsen-Huse lost to Bonita High School 13 – 5 in the CIF Quarterfinal game.

Coach Kamiko Johnson and the Bulldogs Girls Varsity Soccer team finished in third place finish in the Pacific League.   The Bulldogs (13-4-3 overall; 8-3-3 league) played the Long Beach Wilson Bruins (15-5-4 overall; 9-2-0 league), the 2nd place team of the Moore League in the CIF-SS Division 2 1st Round Playoff game Friday, February 17th but lost 6 – 2.
