Pasadena Library Launches Voting for Summer Reading Tote Bag Design

The Pasadena Public Library has opened community voting to select the winning design for this year’s Summer Reading program tote bag. The initiative, which runs through May 1, allows residents to participate in shaping the library’s annual reading program by choosing among five finalist designs reflecting the 2025 theme “Level Up.”

“The Tote Bag Design contest offers library users a new way to participate in the Summer Reading program,” said Tim McDonald, Director of Libraries and Information Services, and the department. “By submitting their designs highlighting libraries, Pasadena, literature, Summer Reading, or an interpretation of this year’s theme, ‘Level Up’ and voting on the finalists, library users are shaping the Summer Reading program to reflect their story.”

Interested community members can vote by going to Vote for SRC Tote Bag 2025, selecting their preferred design image, and clicking submit. Once voting concludes on May 1, a winner will be chosen from the final five designs based on the results. The winning design will be revealed this summer.

The tote bag will be an exclusive prize for Summer Reading participants, available while supplies last. This annual program encourages a love of reading while helping to reduce summer learning loss with reading challenges played out on a BINGO card and fun activities.
