The Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts is now accepting applications for its 2024-2025 Gifts & Grants program, following a record-breaking distribution of funds last year.

In a statement on Monday, the organization said it distributed $1 million to 90 nonprofit organizations during the 2023-2024 program year, marking the largest grant package in its 76-year operational history.

For this program year, applications are encouraged from nonprofit organizations and schools whose programs operate in Los Angeles County, with special consideration given to the greater Pasadena area.

“Through our Gifts & Grants program, we provide essential funding for local music and arts programs that are such a vital part of the community,” said Lisa Loeffler, returning as the 2024-2025 Gifts & Grants Chair.

The grants, funded through the Pasadena Showcase House of Design, one of the country’s oldest and largest home and garden tours, support various initiatives throughout Los Angeles County.

“It’s a very special year for us and it’s important that our visitors know how they support the community when they purchase a ticket, shop, and dine at the event,” Matt McIntyre, President of the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts, said.

The all-volunteer organization, powered by 240 dedicated members, has contributed more than $26 million to nonprofit organizations since its founding in 1948, including supporting the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

The organization maintains several signature programs including the Music Mobile, which has introduced orchestral instruments to over 130,000 third-grade students, and the Instrumental Competition, awarding $700,000 in prizes.

The Youth Concert program has brought nearly 260,000 fourth graders to Walt Disney Concert Hall for performances by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, furthering the organization’s founding mission.

Applications for the 2024-2025 grant cycle must be submitted by Nov. 15, with winners to be announced in April 2025.
