The Pasadena Unified School District Board of Education has 50 items to cover on their agenda planned for their meeting on Tuesday, July 30.
The board meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 at the Elbie J. Hickambottom Board Room at 351 South Hudson Avenue in Pasadena. Spanish language interpretation is available at the meeting.
At their meeting on Tuesday, the school board is set to hear three resolutions, decide upon thirteen contracts, consider twenty approvals and twelve board policies. The items will cover a wide range of issues on a number of topics.
Among the items to be discussed are:
♦ An update on the 2013-2014 State Budget
♦ A proposal for a Redesign of District Continuation School Program
♦ An Approval of Contract with School Innovations, a new software program
♦ An Approval of New Courses of Study for Secondary Education
♦ Several Facilities improvement requests and redistributions including the consideration of License Request by Rosebud Academy Charter School for Use of Additional Classroom Space for Seventh Grade at Loma Alta Site
The closed session of the Board will begin at 4:00p.m with comment from the public permitted. The closed session will include a conference with the labor negotiator, a conference with Legal Counsel regarding litigations, and a recommendation for student expulsion.
