Pasadena Vice Mayor Felicia Williams Elected President of Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority

Pasadena Commissioner Felicia Williams was elected as President of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority at the Authority’s Tuesday Board meeting. Williams, who is also the Vice Mayor of Pasadena, will serve as President for the coming year.

The BGPAA is a joint powers agency formed by Burbank, Glendale, and Pasadena to own and operate Hollywood Burbank Airport. The agency is governed by a nine-member Commission, with each city appointing three commissioners to serve four-year terms.

Williams was appointed to the BGPAA Commission in 2021. She has represented District 2 on Pasadena City Council since 2020. Prior to joining the Council, she served on several city commissions, including Planning, Environmental, and Transportation Advisory. Williams has over 20 years of professional experience in public policy and finance.

The BGPAA holds its elections every July for a one-year term. Alongside President Williams, this year’s elections have resulted in new roles for other commissioners.

In addition to Williams’ election as President, other officers elected at the meeting include Glendale Commissioner Ara Najarian as Vice President, Burbank Commissioner Jess Talamantes as Secretary, Pasadena Commissioner Tyron Hampton to a second term as Treasurer, and Pasadena Commissioner Andy Wilson as Auditor. 

Hampton is a Pasadena City Councilmember. Wilson is a former Pasadena Councilmember.

The remaining commissioners are Emily Gabel-Luddy and Bud Ovrom of Burbank, along with Paula Devine and Frank Quintero of Glendale.
