Pasadena’s Environmental Advisory Commission to Convene on Tuesday

The Environmental Advisory Commission of Pasadena is set to hold its next meeting on February 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at 175 North Garfield Avenue. The Commission, which advises the City Council and makes policy recommendations to support the goals and objectives of the City’s Environmental Charter, will discuss several key issues.

The Environmental Advisory Commission plays a role in guiding the Green City Action Plan and serves as a forum for public engagement.

One of the key information items on the agenda is a presentation on the Sustainability Task Force by Brenda Harvey-Williams, the Assistant City Manager, from the City Manager’s Office.

The meeting will also address several actions and potential action items. These include the dissolution of the Power Integrated Resource Plan Ad Hoc Committee, the appointment of a Chair and Representatives for the Utility Ad Hoc Committee, the establishment and appointment of Representatives for Standing Committees, and the establishment and appointment of Representatives for the Artificial Turf Advisory Ad Hoc Committee.

A point of discussion will be the memorandum addressing the “Optimized” Plan currently being developed by Pasadena Water and Power.

The meeting will conclude with comments and reports from the staff, committees, and the Commission, followed by the announcement of the next meeting scheduled for March 12, 2024.

The Commission will meet at  175 North Garfield Ave. in Pasadena.
