
According to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau, authorities have initiated a preliminary investigation into an alleged child abuse incident following an electronic report received on Tuesday, August 20.
The report, filed electronically through the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), involves a Pasadena boy who is now 14-years-old who claims he was inappropriately touched by a juvenile girl in 2018 while attending a summer camp in the 300 block of North Arroyo Boulevard, according to Campeau.
He said he incident, currently classified as a miscellaneous felony, is being transferred to the Special Victims Unit for further investigation.
Police were notified through DCFS, which is the standard protocol for suspected child abuse cases said Campeau.
