Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert late Saturday night and found evidence of gunfire but no victims or witnesses, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Christopher Kirby.

The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. on March 15 in the 800 block of Elizabeth Street. Officers dispatched to the scene located a single nine-millimeter handgun casing, Kirby said.

ShotSpotter is an automated gunshot detection system that has been installed in various locations in Pasadena.
