
Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert late Saturday night and found evidence of gunfire but no victims or witnesses, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Christopher Kirby.
The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. on March 15 in the 800 block of Elizabeth Street. Officers dispatched to the scene located a single nine-millimeter handgun casing, Kirby said.
ShotSpotter is an automated gunshot detection system that has been installed in various locations in Pasadena.
No one called the police to report the incident, Kirby said.
Officers checked with local hospitals but found no gunshot victims, Kirby said.
