Police are investigating the reported rape of a teenager that occurred over a year ago, authorities said.
Officers responded to a rape investigation in the City of Walnut on Sunday at 11:51 a.m., according to Lieutenant Matt Campeau.
The victim, now 17, reportedly told police she was 16 years old when the alleged crime occurred in Pasadena. The suspect is reportedly a man between 30 and 35 years old.
The Pasadena Police Department’s Special Victims Unit has been notified and is conducting further investigation into the incident, said Campeau .
Authorities have not released additional details citing the sensitive nature of the ongoing investigation.
