Police arrested a woman on Sunday evening for public intoxication after she was reportedly found stumbling near Walnut Street and Lake Avenue. Officers later discovered a loaded handgun in her purse, authorities alleged.
The incident unfolded around 9:08 p.m. as Pasadena Police were responding to a report on North Oak Knoll Avenue, according to Lt. Monica Cuellar. While en route to the call, officers encountered Dhane Dixon, 33, of Pasadena, reportedly walking into traffic and struggling to maintain her balance.
For her safety, Dixon was detained. Upon further investigation, officers determined she was intoxicated and placed her under arrest, according to Cuellar.
During a search, police found a loaded firearm in Dixon’s purse, Cuellar added.
