The Presidential Search Committee, in charge of finding Fuller’s next president, has released an opportunity profile outlining what Fuller is seeking in a new leader and supplying information about how to apply or refer a candidate.
In May, current President Richard J. Mouw announced his intention to retire at the end of the current academic school year. Fuller Seminary’s Board of Trustees appointed a search committee that began efforts in the search process in July.
The search committee, led by Trustee David Beré, is made up of eight trustees, three faculty members representing each of Fuller’s schools, and an at-large member.
“We invite your participation in this important search. Thank you in advance for being a partner with us as we pray for God’s guidance in this next season of leadership,” Beré said in a message on the presidential search webpage.
The opportunity profile is the culmination of the search committee’s meetings and feedback from the seminary and broader evangelical communities.
The search committee distributed surveys, held focus groups, and initiated discussions inviting input from faculty, administration, trustees, staff, alumni, and friends of Fuller. The opportunity profile represents the input of over 1,000 contributors, Beré said.
Nominations and applications will be reviewed through December 31, 2012. The search committee will then begin the selection process in early January.
The opportunity profile can be downloaded and viewed from the presidential search website at: http://www.fuller.edu/presidentsearch
