Reminder: City Council Meetings Now Start at 6 p.m.

Published on Monday, September 16, 2024 | 1:06 pm

Tonight’s City Council meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

The change was made official last Monday after the City Council conducted the second reading of an ordinance that changed the regular meeting start time from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. for closed session meetings and 6 p.m. for public meetings in City Council Chambers.

The change is an effort to accommodate the schedules of both council members and the public.

During the pandemic, the City Council adjusted the meeting time to 4:30 p.m.

That change was made to allow more people to participate in virtual meetings which were held during the pandemic.
