When it comes to reptiles, one thing’s clear. You either love them or hate them. While some people can’t get enough of the creatures, others can’t even take one look at a lizard or snake without screaming.

Reptiles can be very misunderstood creatures, and if you don’t like them it could be that you just haven’t given them a chance to excite you with their vibrant colors, and wonderfully weird looks. But if you’re really into reptiles or simply a little intrigued by their unique adaptability and terrific survival skills, you’d do well to visit Repticon this June.

Taking over the Pasadena Convention Center on Saturday, June 16 to Sunday, June 17, and the convention will bring together breeders, educators and of course, thousands of reptiles. Suitable for the entire family, Repticon is the place to go to see these magnificent creatures up close.

There will also be a number of seminars on each day including one which will teach you everything you need to know about colorful dart frogs and another that will help you choose your first reptilian pet.

And if your kids fall in love with a particular beast, you can even take it home – provided you have everything to give it the TLC it needs. To get you in the mood, here’s what happened at the 2017 convention:

The Saturday session will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the Sunday session starting at 10 a.m. and finishing at 4 p.m. VIP tickets, which include early admission and entry to both the Saturday and Sunday sessions, cost $15 per adult and $5 for children aged 5-12. Any child under four gets in for free.

Parking on the day will also cost with prices set at $13 for up to 16 hours and $18 if you want to go in and out of the Pasadena Convention Center as much as you want.
