Residential Fire Contained to Exterior of Pasadena Home; No Injuries Reported

Pasadena Fire Department crews quickly contained a residential structure fire Sunday afternoon on Del Monte Street, and prevented significant damage to the home’s interior.

At 4:04 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a house fire in the 400 block. Arriving crews found smoke and fire along the side of the residence, according to Pasadena Chief Communications Officer Lisa Derderian

The flames were burning on the exterior with the potential to extend inside, Derderian reported.

Fire crews were able to knock down the blaze before it extended inside.

No residents were displaced, and no injuries were reported.

The fire’s cause remains under investigation.

The response included four engines, two trucks, two rescue ambulances and two battalion chiefs. Pasadena Police Department and Pasadena Water and Power assisted at the scene, according to Derderian.
