Retired Pasadena Police Department Lieutenant Robert “Bob” Dague Dies at 91

The longtime officer served the city for 26 years before retiring in 1983

Retired Pasadena Police Department Lieutenant Robert “Bob” Dague, who served the city for more than a quarter century, died Dec. 2. He was 91.

Dague joined the Department in 1957 and retired in 1983 after 26 years of service. His career spanned assignments in Patrol, Investigations focusing on Juvenile and Vice crimes, and the Special Enforcement Team (S.E.T.). He concluded his tenure as Evening Watch Commander, remembered for his leadership and dedication to public service.

The Pasadena Police Department said in a FaceBook post his commitment “left a lasting impact on the Department and the community he served.”

Born Feb. 11, 1934, Dague was widely respected among colleagues and community members.

In its memorial statement, the Department added: “Our thoughts and prayers are with Lieutenant Dague’s family, friends, and all those who had the honor of serving alongside him during this difficult time.”
