The Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation today announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors and five new members to its Advisory Board, further strengthening the national network of leaders committed to preserving, protecting and enhancing the Rose Bowl Stadium for future generations.

Joining the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation Board of Directors are Dr. Jared Salvo of Bakersfield; Robert “Bob” Strandt of Dallas, Texas; and Terrence “Terry” Tallen of San Francisco.

The Foundation has also appointed Dr. Richard Cheung, David Rappaport, Rhett Rosen, Steve Russell and Amanda Tracey to its Advisory Board. All five reside in the greater Los Angeles and Pasadena area and bring extensive professional expertise and community leadership to Legacy.

“These eight individuals represent an extraordinary range of experience, leadership and passion, and we are proud to welcome them into expanded volunteer roles with the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation,” said Dedan Brozino, President of the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation.  “As we look toward the future of this National Historic Landmark, the strength of Legacy continues to come from people who understand that we are more than a stadium. It is a place with a national story, a deep connection to its community and a responsibility to be preserved for generations to come.”

The additions come during a period of significant momentum for the Foundation, including the completion and opening of the Rose Bowl Stadium’s new Field Club and the continued advancement of Legacy’s philanthropic efforts supporting the preservation and enhancement of the nearly century-old venue as part of the Lasting Legacy Capital Project Campaign. Legacy also launched its first-ever Annual Fund in September, as well, to further amplify and grow its nationwide stable of supporters.

“As a former two-time Indiana University football captain, I know what it means to chase a bowl championship and a national ranking. Our 1979 Holiday Bowl team did it, and that experience never leaves you. For anyone who grew up playing Big Ten football, the Rose Bowl Stadium has always been the ultimate stage. It truly is America’s Stadium. I’m honored to join the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation Board. With the new Rose Bowl Field Club, the Lasting Legacy campaign and LA28 on the horizon, this is a remarkable moment to continue coming together around such a special place.”

“These appointments reflect exactly what we want Legacy to be — locally rooted, nationally connected and strengthened by leaders from a wide variety of industries and backgrounds,” Brozino added. “Each of these individuals brings a different perspective and set of relationships to our mission. Collectively, they will help us continue building a philanthropic community worthy of the history and future of the Rose Bowl Stadium.”
