The gala will serve as both a celebration and a call to action, spotlighting the YWCA’s ongoing mission to eliminate racism and empower women.
The nonprofit organization stressed the urgency of sustaining services amid declining funding, noting that more than 800 homebound seniors and survivors of domestic violence rely on YWCA programs across 30 cities in the San Gabriel Valley.
“We are proud to host our 90th Anniversary Legacy Gala, a celebration of the people and community that have shaped our impact across the San Gabriel Valley,” the nonprofit organization stated.
Founded in 1935, the YWCA San Gabriel Valley serves more than 14,000 individuals annually, including low-income families, seniors, and at-risk youth.
Its Senior Services program alone reaches over 7,000 older adults each year, making it one of the largest in Los Angeles County.
The event will feature a VIP reception, silent auction, legacy award presentations, and dancing with the Grammy-nominated band DW3.
Key civic and community partners, including Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, the Covina Police Department, and the IKEA Covina store, will also be recognized for their contributions to the region.
The Hilton San Gabriel’s main ballroom, which accommodates up to 700 guests banquet-style, will be the setting for the event.
