Breezy Santa Ana winds are expected to return Wednesday and Thursday across Pasadena, followed by a significant warming trend beginning Sunday, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard office reported Tuesday that temperatures will remain near normal through Thursday, with highs in the mid-60s and lows around 44 degrees. Winds will shift from calm to light southwest breezes today before turning northeast Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecasters said the warming trend will begin Sunday, with highs climbing 5 to 10 degrees above normal into next week. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-70s by Monday under clear skies.
No precipitation is forecast for Pasadena during the period. Skies will remain mostly sunny, with dry air prevailing under strong high pressure.
The weekend outlook calls for sunny skies and highs near 69 degrees Friday, 71 degrees Saturday, and 72 degrees Sunday. Overnight lows will gradually rise from the mid-40s to the upper 40s.
Strong high pressure is expected to dominate into next week, keeping skies clear and temperatures elevated. Highs will remain above normal through midweek, with little chance of rain.
