The Pasadena Unified School District has announced the launch of its 2024-25 Student Think Tank paid summer internship program, which is getting ready to start its second year. The Student Think Tank, a student-led initiative, aims to create a safe space for students to connect across campuses, raise consciousness about Pasadena’s history, and provide a platform for students to create equity within the District and the region.
The three-week paid internship is open to committed Pasadena Unified School District students currently in grades 8 through 11.
Interns will work on multiple projects, such as organizing a youth conference, planning the next round of Student Board Member elections, and more.
The summer session will run from June 10 to June 27, with interns working four days a week (Monday through Thursday) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pasadena Unified School District’s Ed Center.
Participants will receive $500 in summer pay, and those enrolled in an Academy at their high school will also receive summer credit and volunteer hours.
Interested students must complete an online application form by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 19. The application can be accessed via the link provided (https://forms.gle/
