The Pasadena Public Library is reinstating the SCORE program to support local small businesses, according to Tim McDonald, director of libraries and information services.
SCORE, known as the nation’s most comprehensive network of skilled entrepreneurs and former corporate executives, will provide complimentary business mentoring sessions to both existing and aspiring small businesses in the area.
Starting July 11, the library’s Lamanda Park Branch, situated at 140 S. Altadena Drive, will hold SCORE Small Business Mentoring office hours every Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Participants can sign up for free, private one-on-one sessions with SCORE members who will provide in-person consultations.
The objective of the SCORE Small Business Mentoring office is to match each enrollee with a SCORE member who best aligns with their business requirements. Registration for these office hours is strictly by appointment.
Those interested are encouraged to sign up for a one-hour session either by visiting the Pasadena Public Library’s signup page or by calling (626) 744-7266. Additionally, a plethora of business resources can be accessed through the City of Pasadena’s library guide.
The mentoring sessions provided by the program present a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to obtain personalized advice from seasoned business professionals.
