The Pasadena City Council will convene a special meeting on Monday evening.
During that meeting, the City Council will vote on authorizing the City Manager’s Office to execute federal grant agreements and to conduct the second reading of an ordinance implementing the Lamanda Park Specific Plan.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Pasadena City Hall. Public comment will be limited to items listed on the special agenda.
City staff is recommending approval of a motion allowing the City Manager to execute future federal grant agreements, citing the city’s reliance on roughly $60 million in annual federal funds for programs related to housing, transportation, public health, and public safety.
The Council will also consider final adoption of a zoning ordinance to implement the Lamanda Park Specific Plan and to amend Pasadena’s official zoning map. The ordinance includes technical updates to ensure consistency with the city’s other specific plans, including Lincoln Avenue, East Colorado, South Fair Oaks, and the Central District. The measure was introduced earlier this month by Councilmember Jason Lyon.
Additionally, the Council will hold a public meeting regarding the city’s proposed Fiscal Year 2026 schedule of taxes, fees, and charges. However, staff is recommending that the Council formally continue the item to its next regular meeting on May 19 due to scheduling changes.
The meeting precedes a joint City Council—PUSD Board session scheduled for 6:15 p.m., also at City Hall.
