A suspect evaded police capture Thursday night after a brief high-speed chase ended in a crash according to police.
Lieutenant Andrea Perez of the Pasadena Police Department said that at approximately 8:51 p.m. on December 5, an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle near the intersection of Summit Avenue and Woodbury Road.
The suspect failed to yield and fled, and the officer ummediately pursued.
Perez said that the driver used evasive tactics and reached high speeds in an attempt to escape.
After about 90 seconds, the suspect lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tree at the intersection of Los Robles Avenue and Ladera Street. Following the crash, the suspect — described only as a man — fled on foot, Perez said.
Despite conducting a search of the area, officers were unable to locate the suspect, Perez said.
