A 15-year-old Pasadena resident was robbed of his gold chain at gunpoint Friday evening, police said.
The armed robbery occurred at 8:17 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Raymond Avenue, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau.
The victim was standing on the east sidewalk when three juveniles approached him. One of the suspects, described as a 15 to 17-year-old African American boy, brandished a semi-automatic handgun and demanded the victim’s gold chain, Campeau said.
Fearing for his safety, the victim handed the suspect his gold chain, said Campeau.
All three suspects, who were wearing gray and navy clothing, fled westbound on Claremont Street on foot after the robbery, according to Campeau. The other two suspects were described as Hispanic boys, also between 15 and 17 years old.
The victim was not injured during the incident, Lt. Campeau said.
