Pasadena Heritage has announced that tickets are now on sale for its signature biennial Bridge Party, set to take place Saturday, July 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on the historic Colorado Street Bridge.
The community celebration, now in its 29th iteration, brings local residents together for an evening of entertainment and festivity at one of Pasadena’s most iconic locations.
This “party of the ages for all ages” brings neighbors together against the stunning backdrop of the iconic bridge. Historically, the weather has been superb that day — sunny and warm.
“We are excited to bring back this beloved and uniquely Pasadena tradition during a time where our community needs a feel-good event to gather,” shared Michael Robleto, Pasadena Heritage Chairman of the Board.
The event will feature multiple live music stages with performances by returning favrite Mercy & the Merkettes, 63 Degrees, the Terry Kilgore Band, Tenscore, and other local favorites.
Attendees can enjoy food and beverages from local establishments including Robin’s Wood Fire BBQ, Dog Haus, Shake Shack, All India Café, and more, as they stroll the bridge and Defender’s Park.
Family-friendly activities will be available throughout the evening, with free admission for children under 12.
The celebration will also include displays of vintage vehicles and new attractions such as a Waymo self-driving car exhibit.
This community tradition dates back to 1978 and celebrates the Colorado Street Bridge, a Pasadena icon that through the efforts of Pasadena Heritage and others has been preserved for generations to enjoy.
The nonprofit organization, founded in 1977, advocates for historic preservation throughout Pasadena and provides education and resources related to local history. Pasadena Heritage also provides referrals and consultations to those restoring historic buildings and demonstrates quality restoration through its own preservation projects.
The organization’s 1,000-plus household members are drawn from Pasadena and neighboring communities, and throughout Southern California.
Tickets for the Bridge Party start at $30, and children under 12 may enter for free. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/
