The newly unveiled designs include floats from the cities of Burbank, Santa Fe Springs and Torrance, along with entries from El ARCA, Lions International and Lutheran Hour Ministries.
The six floats incorporate the 2027 parade theme, “Welcome,” with designs ranging from a lighthouse and harbor scene to a floral display featuring winged white tigers.
Burbank’s “Welcome Home” float depicts a lighthouse overlooking a colorful seaside scene. The float will be built by the 2027 Burbank Tournament of Roses Association.
Santa Fe Springs will enter “Bienvenidos a Nuestra Comunidad!” featuring a colorful community celebration, including a carousel, musicians and a dancer. Phoenix Decorating Company will build the float.
Torrance’s “Serenity Awaits” depicts two fish surrounded by aquatic plants and flowers. The float will be built by Fiesta Productions Inc.
El ARCA’s entry, “A Safe Place to Belong,” features winged white tigers amid a floral landscape. Fiesta Productions Inc. will also build that float.
Lions International’s “Soaring In Service” features cartoon lions and a hot-air balloon, while Lutheran Hour Ministries’ “God’s Promises Welcome All” depicts an ark filled with animals beneath a rainbow. Both floats will be built by Phoenix Decorating Company.
The Tournament of Roses said the designs will ultimately be covered in flowers and other natural materials for the parade.
The Rose Parade will begin at 8 a.m. Jan. 1, 2027, and will be followed by the College Football Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl Game.
The 2027 parade will mark the 138th edition of the New Year’s Day event.
