U2 has added another date for its The Joshua Tree Tour concert at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena as tickets quickly sold out for the May 20 performance. They will be performing the next day as well, May 21, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Pre-sale tickets for the second and final Rose Bowl show are now available at $35 to $280.The general public sale starts Monday, January 27, at 10 a.m. through www.Ticketmaster.com.
U2 will perform all the songs in its fifth studio album, “The Joshua Tree,” as they mark the 30th anniversary of the album’s release. Hits in the album include “With or Without You,” “Where the Streets Have No Name,” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”
Denver-based folk rock band The Lumineers will be the opening act for both Rose Bowl dates.
The Joshua Tree Tour, which kicks off in Vancouver on May 12, follows its 2015 iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE arena tour in support of the album, “Songs of Innocence.” The group has also confirmed its appearance at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Tennessee in the summer.
