Tina Wu Fredericks
Nine months before the election, the United Teachers of Pasadena announced it was endorsing incumbent Tina Fredericks for the Area 6 seat race for the Pasadena Unified School Board.
“We have chosen to endorse Trustee Fredericks for a second term based on her strong support of teachers, record of work, reputation in the community, and commitment to ensuring that students are provided all they need to master the fundamental skills of reading, math, science, and the many other subjects that develop the whole child in the programs our schools offer,” said Jonathan Gardner, United Teachers of Pasadena president.
“Tina Fredericks will make certain our students are financially literate and ready for college and careers,” he said. “We hope you will join us in our support of candidates like Tina Fredericks who have a strong commitment to district accountability, ensuring its focus is on classrooms, and bolstering community and academic excellence in our schools.”
Gardner said the United Teachers of Pasadena believes Tina Fredericks, in particular, will help renew and enhance Pasadena Unified’s commitment to preparing all students for college, career, and other professional endeavors.
The United Teachers of Pasadena represents teachers in Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre.
