A car turning left slammed into a second car which was trying pass it in a two-vehicle crash in the 1500 block of N. Raymond Ave. on Wednesday night around 9:30 p.m., police say.
One victim required extrication by responding firefighters, Pasadena Fire Dept. spokesperson Lisa Derderian said.
Three victims − both drivers and a passenger − were transported with non-life-threatening injuries to a local hospital by paramedics, authorities reported.
According to Pasadena police Sgt. Greg Afsharian, both cars had been heading north on Raymond Ave. when the following car moved into southbound lane to overtake the first. At that moment, the lead car turned left, attempting to enter a driveway. The brunt of the resulting impact hit the driver’s door on the car that was turning left.
No alcohol was involved and no charges against either driver are expected, Afsharian said.
