The free clinic will be held at Washington Stem Magnet School, at 1520 N. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena.
This is an annual event that Young & Healthy sponsors in coordination with the USC Mobile Dental Clinic. Services include diagnostic X-rays, preventative services such as fluoride treatments, scaling, sealing, etc.; restorative such as fillings, pulpotomies and crowns; and surgical procedures, including root planing, root removals and extractions.
Children who qualify can have their teeth examined, cavities filled, and other dental services performed during the week-long free clinic.
As space is limited, appointments are mandatory in advance of the clinic dates, and no walk-in clients can be assisted. Parents can determine if their child or children qualify for the clinic and can make an appointment by calling Young & Healthy at (626) 795-5166 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The USC Mobile Dental Clinic does require a fee for visiting the community. Each year, Young & Healthy raises money from private donors, foundations and other sources of support to meet this cost.
Young & Healthy is a Pasadena-based 501©(3) organization that delivers comprehensive direct health, mental health and dental services to low-income greater Pasadena school children who are unable to access high-quality health care services due to the unavailability or inadequacy of insurance.
The organization maintains a network of 350 physicians, dentists, and mental health care professionals.
