ACT, Pasadena Arroyo Democratic Club Endorse Pasadena Council Incumbents, Back Becerra for Governor

Two Pasadena-area Democratic organizations announced a slate of endorsements for the June election, backing former U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra in California’s race for governor along with a series of congressional, legislative and local candidates.

ACT and the Pasadena Arroyo Democratic Club said in a joint statement that they endorsed Becerra for governor ahead of the June ballot.

The organizations also announced endorsements in three Pasadena City Council races, supporting Justin Jones in District 3, Jess Rivas in District 5 and Jason Lyon in District 7.

The groups also endorsed Judy Chu in the 28th Congressional District and Laura Friedman in the 30th Congressional District.

For state office, the organizations endorsed John Harabedian in the 41st Assembly District race.

In countywide contests, the groups backed Robert Luna for Los Angeles County sheriff and Jeffrey Prang for county assessor.

According to the announcement, ACT and the Pasadena Arroyo Democratic Club also made recommendations on statewide propositions, judicial races and additional local offices appearing on the June ballot. The full list of recommendations is available on ACT’s website.
