[Updated] A City official said Tuesday that a planned annual “Connect Day for the Unhoused” event on the All Saints Church campus 132 North Euclid Avenue set for Monday, July 22 was canceled.
“The event was originally scheduled for Monday, but it was canceled at some point,” the official said.
Union Station Homeless Services typically collaborates with All Saints Church and other Service Planning Area 3 (SPA 3) providers to offer free services to individuals experiencing homelessness in Pasadena and surrounding areas. The event provides a range of resources, including government assistance, mobile showers, food and drinks, outreach services, veteran services, and employment resources.
Connect Day represents a comprehensive approach to tackling the multifaceted challenges faced by the unhoused population. By offering both immediate aid and long-term support, organizers aim to address pressing needs while fostering pathways to stability.
Connect Day offers a concentrated burst of services, providing a “one-stop-shop” for various essential services. It serves as a crucial component of Pasadena’s broader strategy to address homelessness and provide essential aid to its unhoused population.
While the event offers a day of focused support, Union Station Homeless Services continues to provide year-round assistance. The organization offers daily care, health kits, and connections to community agencies for those in need throughout the year.
