
Morris, an award-winning storyteller and educator, will present “Your Story Matters” at the Rotary Club of Pasadena’s weekly meeting on Wednesday, June 17 at The University Club of Pasadena.
Non-members are welcome for $45, which includes lunch, and a reservation is required by 5 p.m. Monday, June 15 at pasadenarotary.com.
She also won first place at the Ojai Storytelling Festival Story Slam and has appeared on Stories From The Stage, on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and the WORLD Channel, and on the RISK! podcast, according to her biography. Her Stories From The Stage episode “Getting Away With It” won a 2025 Signal Award.
Morris served as editor-in-chief of Fast Forward Press, co-produced and hosted the F-Bomb Flash Fiction Reading Series, and taught literature, mythology and creative writing to college students for 14 years, according to her biography. She leads storytelling craft workshops, including some at the Pasadena Playhouse.
Morris will perform her solo show “How to Poop in an Outhouse at -72°F,” winner of five New York City Fringe and Theatre Beyond Broadway awards, for one night only in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lyric Hyperion Theater, before taking it to the Edinburgh Fringe in August, according to her biography.
The Rotary Club of Pasadena, founded in 1920 and part of Rotary District 5300, holds weekly luncheon meetings Wednesdays at noon at The University Club, with the speaker presentation beginning around 1 p.m. Past President Mary Lou Byrne will introduce Morris.
