Car Driven 20 Feet Into Walnut Street Building

A car was driven “approximately 20 feet” into a building on East Walnut Street near Raymond Avenue at about 8 p.m. Monday night,  trapping the driver until Fire Dept. crews arrived, officials say.

The driver was extricated and transported in stable condition to Glendale Adventist Hospital, officials report. There is no word on the cause of the accident or on estimated damages to the structure.
