Fire officials in Pasadena have re-issued strict parking restrictions and issued a Red Flag Warning through Wednesday evening amid heightened wildfire concerns, according to city authorities.
Pasadena Fire Chief Chad Augustin directed the activation of a new Red Flag Warning and ordered certain street parking restrictions that will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, with possible extension.

The city announced that vehicles found in violation of the temporary parking restrictions will face citation and towing from the restricted areas.
The Fire Department is urging residents to review their evacuation plans and ensure emergency supply kits are fully stocked, directing residents to ReadyforWildfire.org for preparation guidance.
The Pasadena Local Emergency Alert System issues notifications only for imminent dangers requiring action such as evacuation, working alongside the Alert LA County mass notification system.
The Police Department has designated Nixle as its primary alert system, with residents able to register online at Nixle.com or by texting their ZIP code to 888-777.
Fire safety officials are advising residents to avoid activities that could create sparks, maintain vigilance for signs of smoke, and stay informed about changing conditions.
