Huntington Health in Pasadena is celebrating its third year of affiliation with Cedars-Sinai Health System, which has significantly enhanced patient care in the San Gabriel Valley. A recent statement from Huntington Health said the partnership has introduced advanced technology and expanded specialty services, leveraging resources from the larger health system.
A cornerstone of the collaboration is the implementation of CS-Link, a new electronic health record system, the statement said. This technology has improved clinical connectivity and patient engagement, while also unifying revenue cycle processes across Huntington Health and Cedars-Sinai entities.
To bolster technological support, Huntington now shares Cedars-Sinai’s Enterprise Information Services department. The change provides round-the-clock assistance for systems, applications, and devices used by patients, employees, and physicians, the statement said.
Huntington Health added the affiliation has also led to significant growth in clinical programs, building a network of specialists based in the San Gabriel Valley. A new Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Huntington allows for comprehensive evaluation of patients with uncontrolled epilepsy, offering advanced imaging and testing capabilities.
The Huntington Cancer Center is now affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Cancer and has expanded its services such that patients can access new oncology specialists, an onsite infusion center, and Cedars-Sinai’s clinical trial network without leaving their community.
Cardiac care has seen advancements with the development of the Cardiac, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery Program. This initiative brings surgical teams to the area for complex procedures previously unavailable locally.
Women’s health services have grown with the integration of Fair Oaks Women’s Health into the system. The practice, which joined in spring 2023, offers a range of obstetrical care from routine to high-risk pregnancies.
Recent additions to Huntington’s specialty offerings include a colorectal surgery program launched in March 2024, according to the statement. The hospital has also expanded its endocrinology services through Huntington Health Physicians specialty offices, with specialists treating hormone disorders, including diabetes and adrenal conditions.
The statement said Cedars-Sinai’s renowned otolaryngology program has established a presence in Pasadena and provides comprehensive care for ear, nose, and throat conditions, including treatment in rhinology and sinus disease, laryngology, endocrine surgery, and pediatric otolaryngology services.
Rheumatology services have also been added to Huntington Health Physicians specialty offices, according to the statement, with rheumatologists diagnosing and treating autoimmune and inflammatory disorders.
“Huntington Health’s affiliation with Cedars-Sinai helps deliver our promise to provide expert care, close to home,” the statement concluded. “We celebrate three years, and the progress made to meet the evolving needs of our community today and for generations to come.”
