One Colorado Launches “Words From The Heart” Mother’s Day Celebration

One Colorado shopping district in Pasadena is hosting “Words from the Heart,” a two-week Mother’s Day celebration from Saturday, April 26 to May 11, 2025. The event provides visitors an opportunity to write complimentary postcards for mothers and have them mailed worldwide in time for Mother’s Day.

“Guests are invited to write complimentary postcards and ‘mail’ them at our turquoise mailbox, beautifully displayed in Douglas Alley,” according to event organizers. “They’ll take care of the rest! Simply write your heartfelt message, and they’ll mail the postcard on your behalf—no matter where Mom is in the world—just in time for Mother’s Day.”

The free and public event features special activation hours on two Saturdays: April 26 and May 3, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. During these times, poets will be on-site to craft custom short poems honoring mothers. To receive a personalized poem, guests must show proof of purchase from any One Colorado shop or restaurant, with no minimum spending requirement.

Located in Old Pasadena, One Colorado is an outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment district that spans one and a half city blocks, roughly bounded by Colorado Boulevard, Union Street, De Lacey, and Fair Oaks Avenues. The One Colorado Courtyard, designed in the tradition of European town squares, regularly hosts outdoor film screenings, live music, art markets, children’s programs, and site-specific art installations.
