Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) has elected two new members to its Board of Directors who will oversee investment strategy, grantmaking programs, and philanthropic engagement throughout the greater Pasadena area.
Dr. Ivy Lee Keltner and Tony Gronroos, MBT, CPA, join the foundation’s governing body to help direct its management of more than $188 million in charitable assets.
“New board members bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and renewed energy to our foundation,” said Sonia Singla, who chairs the foundation’s Nominating & Governance Committee.
Dr. Keltner, who completed her medical training at UC San Francisco and residency at Georgetown University, currently chairs the Augmented Intelligence Committee within the American Academy of Dermatology. Her work focuses on artificial intelligence research and advocacy, collaborating with organizations including the American Medical Association, United States Food & Drug Administration, and World Health Organization.
Gronroos, who earned degrees from UC Santa Barbara and USC, brings more than 25 years of public accounting experience, specializing in trust, gift, and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals. A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and San Gabriel Valley Estate Planning Counsel, Gronroos has served as Finance Chair for both Union Station Homeless Services and Pacific Clinics.
Beyond their professional roles, both appointees maintain strong community ties, with Keltner serving on The Huntington’s Board of Governors and volunteering at Polytechnic School.
PCF, established in 1953, plans to award $2.5 million in grants to over 100 Pasadena-area nonprofits in 2024 and supports more than 130 students through its scholarship funds.
