Pasadena Heritage Elects New Board Members, Officers, Seeks New Leader

Pasadena Heritage, one of the nation’s most prominent local historic preservation organizations, announced the election of new board members and officers at the organization’s February 21 Annual Meeting at the historic Blinn House.

The organization is also seeking a new Executive Director as longtime head Sue Mossman prepares to retire.

Pasadena Heritage members unanimously elected four new Board members: Juan Dela Cruz, Janny Mulholland, Steve Preston, and Jim Zelenay.

Preston and Zelenay are returning for a second term as Board members, both having previously served as members and Board chairs.

Outgoing Board Chair Suzanne Marks thanked retiring Board members Mike Avila, Christian Arndt, Senya Lubisich, Bob Ritter, and Ben Saltsman for their service and many contributions.

Also at the meeting, the Board elected its 2024 slate of officers: Board Chair Annaly Bennett, Secretary John Dean, Treasurer Brad Thiel, Vice Chair of Advocacy Joe Kilanowski, Vice Chair of Development Suzanne Marks, Vice Chair of Education Tony Bu, and Vice Chair of Public Relations/Marketing Michael Robleto. The gavel was passed to the new Board Chair, and officers assumed their roles with congratulations and praise for their many talents, expertise, and willingness to serve as the organization’s leaders this year.

As Pasadena Heritage embarks on a new year of preservation, advocacy, and education in Pasadena, it also looks to a new Executive Director who will be taking the helm this spring as current Executive Director Sue Mossman retires after 45 years of dedicated service to the organization.
