Pasadena Transit will increase Route 51 bus frequency on Friday, Sept. 12, to support fans attending the UCLA vs. New Mexico football game at the Rose Bowl, according to the City of Pasadena.
From 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., buses will operate every 11 minutes between Memorial Park A Line Station and Lincoln Avenue at Seco Street. The stop is approximately a 10-minute ride from the station and a 15-minute walk—about three-fourths of a mile—to the stadium entrance. Route 51 also serves Mountain & Lincoln, providing additional access points for riders. Service will conclude by 8:00 p.m.
Riders transferring from Metro at Memorial Park Station may board Route 51 for 25 cents with a TAP card or at no cost with a UPASS. Standard cash fare is 75 cents.
Fans are encouraged to avoid traffic and parking challenges by using Pasadena Transit or connecting transit shuttles, such as the Foothill Transit shuttle from the Parsons Parking Lot. The special service is timed to accommodate large crowds and streamline transportation for event attendees, reducing congestion around the Rose Bowl.
Real-time arrival information is available through the Pasadena Transit app, Google Maps (Transit option), and BusFinder kiosks at select stops, including Raymond/Holly near Memorial Park Station. Timetables and trip planning tools are available at www.pasadenatransit.net.
