
A passport fair on Sunday, February 4, near West Pasadena will help area citizens get passports and have their questions answered ahead of any travel they may be planning.
The United States Postal Service and Congressman Jimmy Gomez’s office are teaming up to host a passport fair on Sunday, February 4 at the Eagle Rock Post Office. The event, which will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., aims to help U.S. citizens prepare for their 2024 travel needs.
The fair will be held at the Eagle Rock Post Office, located at 7435 North Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, California 90042.
No appointments are necessary, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early. The event will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with a cap at the first 300 applicants.
To expedite the process, attendees are advised to fill out application forms in advance. Information on the costs and application process for a passport book or passport card can be found at usps.com/passport or travel.state.gov/passport. Applicants must bring a valid form of photo identification and proof of citizenship. Acceptable forms of identification include a current or previous United States passport, naturalization certificate, certificate of citizenship, or a current and valid driver’s license, government identification, or military identification. A photocopy of the identification, both front and back, must accompany the passport application. Photocopy services are available at many post offices for an additional fee.
Proof of citizenship can be established with a certified birth certificate issued by the city, county, or state, a naturalization certificate or certificate of citizenship, or an expired passport. For children under 16, both parents or guardians must authorize the issuance of the child’s passport, preferably by accompanying the child when applying.
