Pasadena police responded to multiple reports of gunfire in three locations in the city early Wednesday morning, though no injuries or property damage were found police said.

During the investigation that followed officers collected shell casings of a type that normally don’t carry live ammunition, they said.

According to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau, at around 12:58 a.m. on June 19, the department’s automated ShotSpotter system detected two gunshots in the 1500 block of North Raymond Avenue.

As officers were responding to that location, two more ShotSpotter alerts were triggered in the areas of Marengo Avenue and Tremont Street, as well as the 100 block of East Tremont Street, said Campeau .

According to Campeau the Department also received one call for service regarding shots fired during the incident.

Upon checking all three locations, officers located a total of three spent 9mm cartridge casings. However, the casings were from blank ammunition that does not contain live rounds Campeau said.

No victims, eyewitnesses, injuries or property damage were reported in connection with the shooting incidents, according to Lt. Campeau.
