In order to see the fireworks show in the Rose Bowl this July 4, you must have a ticket to the soccer match.
The Los Angeles Football Club and the LA Galaxy will square off again in a rematch from last year’s highly attended game at the iconic stadium attended by more than 80,000 fans.
The fireworks show will follow the soccer match.
The event will also include a tribute to Veterans and pre-match tailgating.
This is the second year the City has not held AmericaFest at the stadium. For almost a century, the City held Americafest at the stadium. However, the event lost half a million in 2022. Last year, Rose Bowl General Manager Jens Weiden told Pasadena Now that the iconic stadium will continue to have a fireworks show on July 4 annually, but the accompanying entertainment can change.
“The entertainment has always changed.” Weiden said. “We did motocross, bands and soccer. We are going to continue to do fireworks and every year we are going to evaluate the entertainment and decide what’s best.”
The Rialto-California based company, Pyro Spectaculars by Souza has been providing firework entertainment at the Rose Bowl Stadium for more than 35 years and is known worldwide for extraordinary firework displays, producing shows for the NFL Super Bowls, the Olympic Games, and other major events throughout the world.
Tickets are still available for that event.
Although last year’s event was extremely successful, Weiden reiterated that the entertainment will be evaluated every year and stadium officials will guarantee what is best.
“Soccer is not guaranteed every year,” Weiden said. “We have been very lucky [so far] to have a world-class soccer game every year.”
