The Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation received $1 million philanthropic commitment from longtime Rose Bowl Stadium champions Helen and Roger Ma, foundation officials announced.

The generous contribution from the Orange County-based couple will support the Foundation’s Lasting Legacy Campaign, which launched publicly in December 2024 and is aimed at preserving and enhancing the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium

The gift brings the campaign significantly closer to its long-term funding goals.

“We are honored to play a part in preserving a place that has given so much to us and to so many others around the world,” the Mas said in a joint statement. “The Rose Bowl is not just a stadium — it’s a national treasure.”

The campaign includes eight major improvement projects set for completion by and beyond the 2028 Olympic Games. These upgrades aim to improve fan experiences while maintaining the stadium’s historic significance.

Roger Ma, President and CEO of Actek Manufacturing and owner of Three Wide Brewing, and Helen Ma, co-founder of Good Journey Foods, are also leaders of the Endurance Foundation, a nonprofit expanding youth sports access for underprivileged children.

Brian Brantley, Vice President of Advancement for the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation, praised the donation. “Their gift not only honors the history of the Rose Bowl Stadium but invests in its future — as a living monument that continues to unite communities,” he said.

The Rose Bowl Stadium has hosted multiple historic sporting events, including five NFL Super Bowls, Olympic competitions, and World Cup matches. It is also a premier concert venue, having hosted performances by Coldplay, Karol G, the Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Jay-Z, and Kenny Chesney.
