The South Pasadena Tournament of Roses (SPTOR) is thrilled to announce the winners of its highly anticipated annual raffle, which concluded with the prize drawing this week. Only 250 tickets were sold at $100 each, giving participants an exclusive chance to win three incredible prizes while supporting a cherished local tradition.
Grand Prize Winner: Walter Okitsu, a renowned traffic engineer and longtime South Pasadena resident, won four tickets to the highly coveted 2025 Rose Bowl Game. “As a proud supporter of SPTOR, this is such an exciting honor,” said Okitsu.
Second Prize Winner: Sam Hernandez will enjoy a VIP experience with four tickets to the exclusive viewing section on Orange Grove Boulevard for the iconic 2025 Rose Parade. Hernandez, who purchased a significant number of tickets, said he’s ecstatic to replace last year’s top raffle contributor in securing a winning prize.
Third Prize Winner: Angeliqe, another local supporter, took home the $300 cash prize.
This annual raffle is one of a cornerstone fundraising event for SPTOR, enabling the organization to continue its work on South Pasadena’s float for the Tournament of Roses Parade, a tradition dating back over a century.
“We are immensely grateful for our community’s support,” said the Ultimate Raffle chair Alan Vlasic. “Congratulations to our winners and heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated. Your generosity makes it possible for us to showcase the creativity and spirit of South Pasadena on New Year’s Day.”
