The Tournament of Roses has revealed the theme for its 2026 Rose Parade, highlighting unity and collaboration under the banner, “The Magic in Teamwork.” The announcement, made during a ceremony at Tournament House Tuesday evening, promises to spotlight the power of working together to achieve shared goals, both locally and globally.
“In the wake of the devastating Eaton Fire” said Mark Leavens, 2026 president of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, “this theme honors those we lost in the fire, and all in our community who’ve worked tirelessly since, to help the fire victims.”
Leavens continued, “The Tournament of Roses Association and our 900 volunteer members are committed to working with our community partners to assist in the recovery and rebuilding effort. We stand with our community. We stand ‘Dena Strong.’”
“Those times when we have been a part of something really special. It kept coming back to the fact that our greatest achievements in life are not done alone. I realized that when we work together, we can accomplish great things.
“We wanted a theme that would recognize those special bonds that happen when people collaborate to drive towards a common goal,” Leavens said, “a theme that would honor group achievements by people of all ages.”
The Rose Parade, a beloved tradition held every New Year’s Day, is renowned for its elaborate floral floats, many of which are being planned already, along with spirited marching bands and vibrant equestrian groups from across the country and around the world.
The 2026 event is set to feature entries inspired by the theme, encouraging participants to design floats and performances that reflect the values of teamwork, partnership, and collective strength.
The 2026 Rose Parade, to be held on Thursday, January 1, 2026, will mark the 137th edition of the iconic event, which annually attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators and millions of TV viewers worldwide. Organizers are already preparing for what promises to be an extraordinary display of creativity, community spirit, and collaborative artistry.
