Shoppers walking into the Goodwill stores at 340 South Fair Oaks Avenue and 183 Altadena Drive this weekend will find something different: a new look, remodeled interiors, and three days of reopening deals that include drawings for a new 65-inch television.
Goodwill Southern California plans to cut ribbons at both Pasadena locations at 9:45 a.m. Friday, June 26 kicking off a grand reopening weekend that runs through Sunday, June 28, according to a press release from the organization. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. daily. The two stores were newly refreshed and remodeled, the nonprofit said.
The first 50 shoppers in line each day — Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — will receive a $10 merchandise voucher at each store, the press release stated. Shoppers who spend $30 or more will receive a free gift while supplies last. Prize drawings at each location include a new 65-inch television and gift cards.
Weekly color-tag sales offer additional savings: items with red tags are $2.49 on Friday and $1.99 on Saturday, and items with gray tags are 50 percent off on Sunday.
“We are pleased to offer an enhanced shopping experience for our customers,” said Patrick McClenahan, Goodwill Southern California’s president and CEO, in the press release. “When visiting Goodwill SoCal stores, our customers have the unique experience of shopping for great value in a nice environment, all while supporting our mission of helping people in our community find jobs and improving our environment through the reuse and recycling of secondhand goods.”
Both stores are open 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. The Fair Oaks location sits in the 91105 zip code; the Altadena Drive store is in the 91107 zip code. The two stores are among four Goodwill Southern California locations currently operating in Pasadena, including a boutique and donation center at 703 North Lake Avenue and a retail store at 1720 East Colorado Boulevard that opened in August 2025.
Goodwill Southern California, a nonprofit founded in 1916, operates more than 100 locations — retail stores, outlet stores, boutiques, and attended donation centers — across Los Angeles County north of Rosecrans Avenue, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County. The organization says 95 cents of every dollar generated from sales is dedicated to funding its mission of providing a hand up and an opportunity to those in the community with barriers to sustainable employment, according to the press release.
