Early results show all three Pasadena City Council incumbents comfortably retaining their seats in Tuesday’s primary, with two running unopposed and one facing only light opposition.
All three incumbents secured decisive leads in Tuesday’s primary nominating election as of 8:15 p.m.
Third District Councilmember Justin L. Jones was the only incumbent with an opponent and led by a wide margin.
Vice Mayor Jess Rivas in the 5th District and Councilmember Jason Lyon in the 7th District both ran unopposed, though Lyon’s challenger, Alethea O’Toole, still appeared on the ballot and received 15.4% of the vote.
